George Clooney 'fine' after motorbike crash in Italy

Hollywood star George Clooney has been injured in a collision involving his scooter and a vehicle.

It happened Tuesday morning in Sardinia.

According to local publication La Nuova, the driver of the auto stayed to help Clooney while they waited for the ambulance - can you imagine realizing that you just hit George Clooney with your vehicle?

Clooney is a Northern Kentucky native.

It is understood he was rushed to Saint John II Hospital in Olbia with minor injuries but has since been discharged from ER. "He is recovering at his home and will be fine", spokesman Stan Rosenfield told The Associated Press in an email.

The 57-year-old actor, who is now filming a TV series on the Italian island, was understood to be driving to set when the incident occurred.

Clooney and his family are thought to be have based themselves in a villa in San Teodoro in Sardinia while Clooney has been filming Catch-22.

Clooney is now on the island filming a new TV series "Catch-22", based off the book of the same name written by Joseph Heller.
