Three Youtube Vloggers Die In Canada Waterfall Accident

A travel vlogger for popular channel High On Life, Gamble was one of three people who were confirmed dead on Thursday by federal police, the Associated Press reports.

Ryker Gamble and Alexey Andriyovych Lyakh - half of Vancouver-based "High on Life SundayFundayz", a group of travel video bloggers on YouTube - died Tuesday after they fell into fast-moving waters at the falls.

It says Gamble and Lyakh wrote about living in the present, being free of the past or whatever is to come, and giving of one's time and energy to what really matters.

Gamble and Lyakh rushed over, but were unable to rescue her.

According to the BBC, Ryker Gamble, 30, Alexey Lyakh, 30 and Megan Scraper, 29, died at Shannon Falls when Scraper slipped into the water leading Gamble and Lyakh, her longtime partner, to attempt to rescue her.

The hikers' identities haven't been released, but police confirmed they were all in their 20s or early 30s, and they were all B.C. residents.

This RCMP helicopter was part of a recovery effort Wednesday for the bodies of Ryker Gamble and two others. Crews recovered their bodies Wednesday.

Shannon Falls is the third tallest waterfall in BC at almost 1,100 feet. One video from their channel is even titled, "Epic Cliff Jumping and Waterfall Slide (EXTREME DANGER)".

The search is expected to resume today for three swimmers reported missing at Shannon Falls Provincial Park near Squamish.

In 2016 their exploits made global news after they were charged with damaging sensitive habitat in Yellowstone Park. They pled guilty to walking onto the Grand Prismatic Spring, the largest hot spring in the United States, which has a fragile ecosystem and on which visitors are not allowed.
