Meet the OPPO Find X with pop-up cameras, bezel-less design

The phone features a bezel-less, notch-less all-display screen and comes at a price of 999 euros.

The highlight here though is the Find X's 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, reducing the size of the remaining bezel at the bottom of the display even more. It uses 3D Structured Light Technology which scans 15,000 facial points and is claimed to be 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone. The sliding mechanism also means you can never put a protective case on the Oppo Find X, which may not always be the best idea if you're a member of the fellowship of fallen phones (it also means the phone isn't water-resistant like every smartphone today).

Under the hood, you'll find the usual flagship-level components, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a 3,730mAh fast-charging battery.

On the software side, you get Android 8.1 with Oppo's Color OS on top. USA pricing and availability haven't been confirmed yet, nor whether Oppo has managed to secure any of those all-important carrier partnerships, but we'll presumably know more in the coming months.

The phone will also have 512 MB of storage, a carbon-fiber texture underneath the glass on the back of the device, and will be engraved with the Lamborghini logo. Oppo said it only takes 0.5 seconds to open. Oppo Find X has been priced at Euro 999 (roughly Rs. 80,000) for the 256GB version.

Oppo officially launched its new flagship, the Find X, at an event in Paris, France, on June 19. The phone packs a front camera alongside rear dual camera setup. Frankly, we're not surprised, given that OPPO is no stranger to taking an unorthodox approach to smartphone camera systems.

The pop-up module houses a 25-megapixel selfie camera, and dual 16-megapixel rear cameras. The launch event worked as a seal of confirmation for all the leaked specs that were ultimately proven right. The company says it has tested the sliding mechanism more than 300,000 times without it failing, for example.

The Automobili Lamborghini edition of the Find X will also have an updated storage with a massive 512GB of on-board storage.

The good news for the United States market is that the OPPO Find X will be the first phones from the manufacturer to be released in the United States market. It's powered by a 3,730mAh battery and offers two SIM card slots as standard, and it boasts fast-charging technology.

The Oppo Find X dimensions measure at 156.7x74.3x9.4mm, and it weighs about 186 grams. There is also support for 3D emojis similar to iPhone X ones. As for the back cameras, the two sensors are accompanied by Optical Image Stabilization, Phase Detection Autofocus, Dual-Tone LED flash and f/2.0 apertures for both sensors.
