It was widely assumed that Kate was playing with and chasing her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but photos taken from a different angle show the real reason for the Duchess' dash.

Just this weekend, the Duchess of Cambridge attended a polo event to support her husband, Prince William, and brought the kids along to have a casual Sunday, says Town & Country.

Prince William was competing in the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy in order to raise funds for both Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Centrepoint, a foundation aimed at helping homeless young people. William was always scheduled to play in the match, but it was not known whether Kate and the children would join.

But while many criticized the fact that the little prince was allowed to play with a plastic gun, the debate has been ongoing as others have risen to the defense of children playing with such toys.

Savannah, 7, first pretended she was conducting music as the national anthem played and then put her hand over the mouth of George, who appeared to be singing along, as if to quiet him.

However, many also rushed to defend Prince George and his parents, pointing out that the young royal will one day be Commander-in-Chief of the British Armed Forces.
