Janet Jackson calls police to check on one-year-old son's safety

Janet Jackson wasted no time calling the cops after a nanny tipped her off that her ex-husband was acting aggressively toward her one-year-old son.

Janet Jackson is said to have contacted the police out of concern for her son with Wissam Al Mana, Eissa Al Mana.

US singer Janet Jackson (R) and her then boyfriend Wissam Al Mana pose for photographers as they arrive to attend the Giorgio Armani Autumn/Winter 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week, February 25, 2013. "They decided the child was OK and they left", a spokesperson for the sheriff's station tells People.

The pop star's brother Randy Jackson told Entertainment Tonight that Jackson was concerned after their nanny grew "terrified" by Al Mana's behavior and 'locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet'.

Jackson was married to Quatari businessman Al Mana for four years.

ET also reached out to Al Mana through his company's website.
