Josh McCown informed he'll be the Jets' starter

Although, the drafting of a quarterback would raise an important question: Why the heck did the Jets pay McCown $10 million?

Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Jets, reports ESPN's Chris Mortensen. He also has been told he will be the starting quarterback in 2018, a source confirmed.

The Jets didn't win the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes, but they still landed two quarterbacks in free agency on Tuesday. It could signal the Jets aren't confident in the quarterbacks available with the sixth pick and would rather give Bridgewater a "prove it" deal. At age 38, McCown was able to stitch together his best season as a professional, coming up with career-best figures of 2,926 passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns, and a 67.3 completion percentage. The Jets have either struck gold by buying low on a potential franchise quarterback or have taken a flier on a guy they don't even have to start next season.

Federer explains why Novak Djokovic's exit at Indian Wells is 'not surprising'
He is making a cautious return to the ATP Tour after stopping his 2017 season following Wimbledon, due to a right elbow injury. When play finally started, Federer set out to avenge his defeat to Delbonis in 2013 - the pair's only other ATP meeting.

Malcolm Butler Signing With Titans After Four Seasons With Patriots
Butler is coming off a season in which he finished with two interceptions, three forced fumbles, a sack and 60 combined tackles. A contract at that level will position the New England Patriots for a possible high compensatory draft choice in 2019.

Andrew Norwell to sign with Jaguars
Third-year player Joshua Garnett missed all of last season with a knee injury and is an uncertain fit in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Norwell , 26, entered the National Football League as an undrafted free agent and claimed the starting left guard spot in 2014.

McCown's season ended prematurely after suffering a fractured left (non-throwing) hand, which required surgery, in a Week 14 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Despite the abbreviated campaign, McCown was voted team MVP by his Jets teammates. NY were surprisingly competitive during the season and went 5-8 in games he was under center. McCown, Julius Peppers and Dwight Freeney were the only players from the 2002 draft still playing in 2017.
