Denver Broncos' 2018 free agency: Case Keenum solves QB issue

The Broncos had a glaring hole under center last season, cycling through Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch and Brock Osweiler en route to an unexpected 5-11 record and last-place finish in the AFC West. He spent his rookie season on the Texans' practice squad-a team that featured head coach Gary Kubiak and defensive backs coach Vance Joseph-and started eight games in his second season, losing all of them on a 2-14 squad.

The Vikings were also rumored Monday to be gauging Drew Brees' interest in leaving the Saints, although an unconfirmed report Monday said Brees and the Saints had agreed on a two-year, $48 million contract.

With the Broncos apparently having settled on their quarterback, the Vikings, Bills, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals are the mostly likely teams to be actively seeking quarterbacks in free agency and the draft.

Only the winless Cleveland Browns threw more interceptions than the Broncos' 22, and Denver had just one receiver catch more than 50 passes and finish with more than 560 yards receiving - Demaryius Thomas with 83 catches and 949 yards. He finished the season with 3,547 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

At the National Football League scouting combine this month, Elway said, "we'll continue to look at all of the options out there when it comes to quarterback". "Obviously, we have to get better at that (quarterback) position". "That was always fluid, too, but he was our target". He started 15 games for the Vikings in 2016, completing 71.6-percent of his passes for 3,877 yards and 20 touchdowns.

The Broncos haven't made the playoffs since their Super Bowl win to close out the 2015 season. That doesn't all go on the players.
