New Huawei P20 live images leaked sans the headphone jack

The new shape includes slimmer bezels and edges, but it's hard to guess the display's size and how far it will reach the edges.

But the front Huawei P20 looks very interesting due to the incredibly thin frame of the screen - Apple with its iPhone X with a giant cutout can only envy. Speculation has been that at least one of the P20 variants (expectations are that Huawei is going to announce a P20 Lite, P20, and P20 Plus) will feature a trio of cameras on the back.

The phone also lacks a headphone jack, similar to the Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

The P20, in comparison to the Huawei P10, has smaller bezels at the top and bottom. This chipset is also present on the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones. Well, maybe not. Chinese regulation agency TENAA just published the photos of what is supposed to be the Huawei P20 and boy, does it look different than what we saw just yesterday! On the right side of the phone is a power button with touch indicators above it.

The camera is not clearly noticeable here as it blends more with the handset. The new prototype has dual speaker grilles, doesn't have a headphone jack and comes with a type-C USB port.

We thought we knew a great deal, including a revised design language combining unique elements with a divisive homage paid to an arch-rival, but then pictures of a real-life prototype showed up and changed everything. Huawei could also just be following other OEMs by having two grills for a symmetrical design.

Preparing to enter the flagship mobile race this year is Huawei's P20 and P20 Plus, which are already making waves globally.

The prototype doesn't use a triple rear camera setup as previous rumours indicated. The big launch could be made next month in Paris. Does a phone with virtual volume keys and three rear cameras sound exciting?
