Mel Kiper has Browns taking Josh Allen with top pick

FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd unveiled his first Mock Draft on Wednesday and believes that the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants should select Darnold and Rosen with the first two picks in the draft.

Coincidentally, Allen remains atop Kiper's "big board" one day after a video of him hitting a goalpost crossbar from 50 yards away while kneeling went viral.

The former Georgia product has outstanding sideline-to-sideline range and plays much bigger than his 225-pound frame would suggest, often times seen laying massive hits on running backs, receivers and quarterbacks alike.

Mock drafts likely will look very different after next week's NFL Combine, and Kiper is reserving the right to change his mind to a quarterback between now and the draft in late April.

"He has the best arm of anybody in this draft", Kiper said of the 6-foot-5, 237-pound Allen.

"Not only is Smith stout in pass coverage and playing the run, but he also led the Bulldogs with 6.5 sacks in 2017".

The longtime draft analyst still has the Cleveland Browns selecting Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen, who has the size and strong arm National Football League teams crave.

Kiper has Georgia running back Sony Michel listed as the draft No.3 running back, behind Penn State's Saquon Barkley and Guice, and ahead of Jones (4th) and San Diego State's Rashaad Penny (5th). The NFL Combine hasn't happened yet, and neither has free agency. I thought he played great in that Texas game in September. Kiper opted for Iowa's Daniels over MI defensive tackle Maurice Hurst, who he views as a "perfect fit" for Buffalo's defense.

Kiper does not like the idea of the Colts moving out, given their glaring need for a pass rusher. Then they could trade down with a quarterback-needy team to pick up more talent - and remember, they have the No. 4 pick, too. Maybe longer. His price tag is going to be exuberant, and several teams - including the Jets - will try to win his services. Is there one that he deems a potential franchise guy and as the heir apparent to Eli who could be that big-time quarterback? It would take both picks - and more - to get into the top 10.
