UFC Fight Night 124 Weigh-In Results: Uriah Hall Drops Out of Card

Hopefully Belfort will be able to find another fight soon, and end his awesome UFC career in style, like he deserves.

Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting notes UFC officials did not elaborate on the nature of Hall's withdrawal, or whether the plan is to re-book Hall vs. Belfort at a later date.

According to reports, Hall was on his way to the weigh-in when he fainted and immediately transported to hospital.

It's unclear which bout will now step into the four-fight main card in St. Louis, headlined by a featherweight matchup between Jeremy Stephens and Dooho Choi.

UFC kicks off the new year

Hall had previously mentioned that this camp was particularly tough, stating his body shut down at one point. Uriah Hall failed to make weight for his scheduled middleweight bout with Belfort for UFC Fight Night 124, and the fight is now off as a result. He was also faced with the death of coach Robert Follis, and one day after that, the death of one of Hall's best friends.

Hall is listed as a consensus -310 favorite and has seen five of his past six bouts end inside the distance, with three finishing before the first-round bell.

As a result of Hall vs. Belfort getting scratched, Darren Elkins vs. Michael Johnson was moved to the main card.

This is not the only cancelled fight announced today as this morning it was announced Zak Cummings would withdraw from his bout with Thiago Alves due to injury.
