College student found in Georgia mall had been dead for two weeks

The New York Post reported that the was a sophomore at Georgia State University and had been dead for about two weeks before her body was discovered.

Officials believe that Man was dead two week prior to being found at the Duluth mall.

The body had been found in an "advance state of decomposition", according to Fox News.

But then Man "ran away again", her family said, though they didn't report her second disappearance, police said.

Man was found in a vacant Subway restaurant space located in the mall December 21, according to a report in Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a daily newspaper in the metropolitan area of Atlanta.

Man had been previously reported missing on October 8 by a family member, but she returned home shortly after a missing person case was assigned to an investigator, according to the release. She had not enrolled for the spring semester.

Police at the time reported there were no obvious signs of trauma on the Asian woman's body. "We are waiting on toxicology, we are waiting to figuring out a little more about her history before we can figure out how this investigation is going to wind up".

The Medical Examiner's Office did not rule the case as a homicide as the details surrounding Man's death were being investigated.

Police are now looking for more information about the death, including information on Man's activities and acquaintances.

Authorities have asked that anyone with information to call the Gwinnett Police Department or Crime Stoppers Atlanta.
