Andy Cole urges Jose Mourinho to break the bank for Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez has been left out of Arsenal travelling squad for the Premier League clash against Bournemouth amid surging rumours that a move to Manchester United is all but done.

Former Manchester United forward Andy Cole has urged Jose Mourinho to go all out to sign Alexis Sanchez over the January transfer window. "You want to focus on the players who are on the pitch who can do well for the club".

But despite United's apparent eleventh-hour move for Sanchez, sources have told ESPN FC that the club has been quietly attempting to beat City to the player since last August.

There was also a feeling within Old Trafford that Arsenal, and manager Arsene Wenger, would not sanction a sale to United and Mourinho due to the embarrassment caused by Robin van Persie's success in a United shirt following his move there in 2012 and, perhaps more significantly, the long-running tension between Mourinho and Wenger.

And Cole believes that Mourinho needs to take advantage of this window of opportunity to sign Sanchez this month.

India post 328 against Australia
Shaw scored 94 off 100 balls against the Australians to helping the Indians trounce the Aussies by a staggering 100-run victory. Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland's son Will is also in the national squad.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will decide to try and cash-in this month or risk losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

As reported by ESPN on Sep.

Asked if Sanchez's exit is imminent, Wenger said: 'Yes, don't read too much in it because even I don't know which way it will go.

Then along came Manchester United, who were willing to better City's offer with a £35 million bid of their own or a part exchange involving Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

"They have to accept this responsibility and it can't happen again because these players should be tied down to long-term contracts, they shouldn't be going to enhance United or City".
