Chris Brown Could Be Prosecuted Over Exotic Pet Monkey

Chris Brown has a done a pretty good job at staying out of trouble lately but the singer is once again facing problems.

The 28-year-old received backlash when he posted a video of his daughter Royalty with Fiji, after "a dozen or so tips on the incident" was reported to California Fish and Wildlife.

Singer Chris Brown could face up to six months in jail if a misdemeanor charge against his goes through for keeping a monkey as pet without permit.

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old Grammy victor has already voluntarily surrendered his female baby capuchin monkey Fiji, and the case has been turned over to the L.A. City Attorney. Chris told everyone to chill.

It seems that Chris has managed to bring about his latest supposed spat with the law in California, as he's not exactly been shy about publicising the fact he owns a monkey. So sadly at the moment Chris no longer has his monkey, but that's not where it ends.

Brown's attorney told us they are "confident nothing will come of this".
