LSU RB Derrius Guice declares for NFL Draft

That announcement coming via a heartfelt video message from the running back and Baton Rouge-native on Wednesday.

Guice announced via Twitter that he will forgo his senior season at LSU and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. Other backs who have declared for the draft include Penn State's Saquon Barkley (who is projected to be the first back taken), Stanford's Bryce Love, USC's Ronald Jones, Auburn's Kerryon Johnson and Georgia's Nick Chubb.

"Growing up here in Baton Rouge, it was always my dream to attend LSU", Guice said. Guice (5'11/216) took his sweet time weighing his options, but as expected, he's made a decision to throw his hat into the draft ring. "Having he opportunity to play for this storied university was truly an honor".

Over his career, Guice notched 3,074 yards on 471 carries and scored 29 touchdowns on the ground.
