If the user finds a date and place they'd like to attend, a tap on said event will link the user to Ticketmaster's webpage where they can purchase a ticket or tickets for their enjoyment. The great thing about this integration is that it's available on both the YouTube desktop site and on the iOS and Android YouTube apps. It can be found underneath a music video's description on desktop or right under the video in the mobile app. This is a huge move forward with YouTube's plan to build more artist-to-fan connections across its platform.

"We're just getting started". In the future, it will roll out to all artists who have Ticketmaster shows in North America with plans to expand globally. The company also hints this is the first of other planned features focused on artist-to-fan connections, but it didn't detail those plans. If concerts tickets aren't listed beneath an artist's YouTube video, it's because they aren't using Ticketmaster. There's no mention of expanding to other ticketing companies and not all artists use Ticketmaster. The streaming giant is now rolling out a "Tickets" widget. Tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster, and Ticketmaster only.

Music videos consistently are among the most popular content on YouTube, which boasts more than 1.5 billion monthly visitors.

The deal will see YouTube advertise concert listings within artist videos, and then push users over to Ticketmaster to make the transaction.
