'The Talk' sees rare panel shake up as Eve replaces Aisha Tyler

Eve has signed on to be the fifth full-time cohost of CBS' "The Talk".

"The treasure of this show is my friendships with you guys, and that is something that I could never have expected when I walked in the door here", Tyler said of co-hosts Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood at the time. The show announced on Tuesday that it's found a permanent replacement for longtime host Aisha Tyler, who exited the series last season.

Though the 39-year-old Pennsylvania native now resides in London with her husband, British entrepreneur Maximillion Copper, and her four stepchildren, the decision to join the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show was simple. "Eve is an accomplished and dynamic performer, musician, wife, and stepmother who fits in seamlessly, while also adding a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season".

Instead, the series will focus on new storylines which take place before the events of The Fellowship of the Ring . Deadline is reporting that Amazon put down close to $250 million to acquire the rights to the much revered J.R.R.

14, 2017, the ladies of The Talk announced that rapper Eve would be taking former co-host Aisha Tyler's spot at the table. Her face plastered on screens, Eve then walked out to her 2001 collaboration with Gwen Stefani, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", as confetti rained down on the stage. She's also appeared in the Barbershop films and the TV show Eve.

"When I first got the first call in London, my manager told me about the opportunity, and at first I was like, 'I don't know, because it's far from from home, '" she says. "I am interested in hosting, and specifically on this show, because I feel as though I can express myself in a way people haven't seen me before, and be able to engage in great discussions [and] have some fun", Eve told Variety. This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.

ET spoke with Chen about finding a new co-host in August, just several weeks after Tyler left the show, where she compared the casting process to speed dating. I started recording a few months ago.
