Tom Brady will play Sunday despite shoulder injury

During a time when nearly all quarterback's bodies break down (late 30s, early 40s), Brady has not missed a game he has been eligible to play in since that 2008 season. One way to do that would be to put pressure on Brady like the Panthers, and every other team this season, did.

On Tuesday, Brady missed his first practice of the season.

Brady reportedly aggravated an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder in Week 5 against the Buccaneers - an injury that he suffered in a Week 4 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Brady was hit 19 times and sacked nine times in three playoff games.

Brady initially said he had no knowledge of tampered footballs, but a NFL-ordered report from Ted Wells indicated that it was more than likely that Brady knew of the tampering.

Search for missing Richardson girl enters sixth day
It's been six days since three-year-old Sherin Mathews went missing Saturday morning as many questions left unanswered. After returning home, he did a load of laundry before finally calling police at 8:12 a.m.

Brady credited the score and game situations for the frequency New England has been in passing situations this year. Brady has never been sacked on more than 6% of his dropbacks in any season, and he's only been sacked on 4.9% of his dropbacks over his 18-year National Football League career.

They were non-participants in the team's practice ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the New York Jets on Sunday. He said he has learned to deal with the wear-and-tear over time. "But it's something that we're going to have to keep challenging ourselves. Certainly, if I play better, it will help all of us".

Brady beating the Jets would be nothing new, as the four-time Super Bowl MVP has 23 career regular-season wins against his AFC East rival. The Patriots have not played well of late.

One reporter offered a theory that Brady could be being hit more because he thinks he is more mobile at age 40 than he was earlier in his career. "If you let them run and pass, it will be a long day for the defense".
