Rose McGowan Claims Harvey Weinstein Raped Her, According to New Tweets

Uploading a screenshot with a message from Twitter stating she can not send tweets or retweets from her account, unless she deletes "tweets that violate our rules", McGowan captioned the image: "TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME".

Reactivation of the account in such cases is contingent on deleting the offending material. She added in her tweet about Affleck: "You lie".

McGowan has been speaking out against harassment in Hollywood amid Harvey Weinstein's sexual assault scandal. During the suspension she is reportedly unable to send a tweet or a retweet, but her account is now visible. "We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future", the tweeted statement read.

"@jeffbezos I told the head of your studio that HW raped me", she wrote, using Weinstein's initials. "They knew. They funded". Attached was an image of a portion of an email that offered to set up a meeting with Bob, presumably Bob Weinstein from context, at a hotel in the early evening.

Actress Rose McGowan is not banned from Twitter for telling Ben Affleck to fuck off. Many users were quick to point out that white supremacists and even Donald Trump could consistently provoke outrage and not have their accounts suspended.

After hours of silence, Twitter has finally issued a response.

Twitter has always been criticized for its approach that it says supports free speech but which critics say only amplifies bullying, aggression and borderline illegal threats.

She received no further updates on the claims, and refrained from sharing details publicly until now. Amazon says the head of Amazon Studios is on leave following allegations of sexual harassment.

McGowan didn't buy it, and tweeted at him to "F*** off".

The Weinstein Company, which fired Harvey Weinstein over the weekend, is working with Amazon on two upcoming series.

Amazon's decision comes just four days after film executive Harvey Weinstein was sacked from The Weinstein Co., a film studio that he co-founded, following allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault by multiple women in the entertainment industry.

The company also tried to answer the accusations of censorship by noting: "Twitter is proud to empower and support the voices on our platform, especially those that speak truth to power".
